Visualizing categorical data: Bar Charts & Maps

If the categories are geographical regions such as a country, state, or another regional identifier, Keshif automatically enables rich categorical choropleth maps.

• The categorical map view allows you to explore the geographic trends in your data, such as hot-spots or regional differences in the aggregated data.
• The categorical bar-chart view view allows you to make smart filtering selections by multiple regions, comparing data across different geographic units.

To switch the categorical data visualization type (maps or bar chart),

• Click the map / list icon in the top-right corner of the chart.
