Selecting time-series plot type

The time-series chart offers three main plot types: by value, by ranks and by change (which has two types, by percentage and by value). 

Each plot type offers a different perspective on understanding the data over time. These plots can be enabled with a single click in the chart configuration.

  Plotting (raw) values of time-series data

• By ranks
  Creating a bump chart: Plotting trends in rank for time-series data

• By change
  Creating a time-indexed chart: Plotting changes compared to a time point
